Many IT teams are feeling pressured to accelerate the implementation of enterprise cloud initiatives.
On the one hand, managers are being increasingly courted by service providers who want to show them their latest cloud offerings. Lines of business are requesting faster and more agile IT services, just like they experience when using Cloud and Mobile apps for personal purposes. On the other hand, internal IT departments see the need for greater standardization of their operations and the urgent need to modernize their infrastructure in order to preserve control over quality of service, security and governance.
In both cases, it is difficult to clearly express a common company vision and position in regard to the evolution of the IT approach in this new hybrid cloud reality. It is clear that IT teams must advise, coordinate, and act as a broker of service in response to the need of both internal and external applications and services in order to properly serve the requirements of the organization and its end-users.
Hence the need for a coordinated approach that incorporates principles of governance, security, service management under a business applications and services catalog.
CONFERENCE PRESENTED JOINTLY WITH VMWARE AND HITACHI DATA SYSTEMS
On November 10, PCD Solutions along with its business partners VMware and Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) will host a conference in Montreal at the Bell Center. This conference will focus specifically on the evolution of corporate IT departments and how these departments must, in some way, turn themselves into Proactive Business Partners within their organizations.
EVENT THEME

- Give your IT department the means to accelerate deployment of your services (applications, infrastructure services, development environments, workstations, etc.).
- Adapt your practices to manage multi-provider hybrid cloud environments.
- Deploy your own cloud approach. Gain flexibility and agility while controlling costs and implementing strong governance.
