For some time now, SAP has dictated the market with specialized infrastructure solutions called “Certified SAP HANA appliances” from major manufacturers in order to deploy its solution. Fortunately, the German giant has recently opened its policies by launching the SAP TDI – Tailored Datacenter Integration infrastructure certification program. New reference architectures now include Intel/x86 systems, Linux and VMware virtualization as platform options.
